The stadium misses its players. And our mission after moving to #workfromhome, is being there for each one of them.
We started working from home, even before the nationwide lockdown. We also amended our health insurance policy, connected our people to trained physicians, and helped them with daily updates on how to #flattenthecurve.
Another challenge was staying positive, and provided for, even after isolation. We opened up 1:1 professional counselling for all, started “weekly townhalls” – a 30 min session where our co-founders answered anonymous questions, and promoted “me” time by introducing no-meeting hours. We also created WhatsApp groups region-wise, for Sportans living in the same area to better manage their lockdown.
Also, we received a lot of kudos for everything we’ve done and how we’ve put our people first. The one memorable surprise that will be recounted the most by Sportans and their families is that we home delivered dozens of mangoes to their homes.
Most importantly, as a business, we are confident going forward, with no lay-offs, ZERO salary cuts, & timely salary revisions.
Lastly, we tell all our players (Sportans), that we are with them, and we will resume work-from our office stadium, only when we are confident they can.
