What is it about product engineering that excites you? Innovative ideas? Game-changing features? Scale?
Dream11 in association with FanCode and DreamX, welcomes all women tech enthusiasts to our first #WomenInTech meet-up at Mumbai, on Saturday, January 11th, 2020. And in this edition, we would discuss about some of the biggest challenges in engineering with the industry tech leaders.
Bhavana Motwani, Engineering Manager @BrowserStack discusses making IaaS subscriptions future-ready
BrowserStack is a subscription-based, cloud web and mobile testing platform that enables developers to test their websites and mobile applications across on-demand browsers, operating systems and real mobile devices, without requiring users to install or maintain an internal lab of virtual machines, devices or emulators. They have four primary products- Live, App Live, Automate and App Automate. Bhavana Motwani’s latest and most exciting challenge – seamlessly managing subscriptions and payments for their millions of users, offering security, flexibility, customizations and options for payment methods.
Bhavana Motwani has more than 13 years of experience in tech designing, building and deploying complex architecture systems and leading and scaling up teams, primarily in a host of early to mid stage startups. Rashi Atry, Senior SDET @Dream11 talks performance engineering at unprecedented scale
As the pioneer of the most exciting Sports-tech business problem, Dream11 has always been a tale of scale. Rashi’s challenge here as the Senior SDET, is predicting the size of the infrastructure needed for 75 million users engaging with the app at over 40 million requests per minute. She needs a platform managing high concurrency at minimum latency. Her approach is simpler than you think – set the benchmarks right.
Rashi Atry has over 7 years of experience in mobile app testing, functional testing, and automation testing. Prior to Dream11, she has worked with leading brand InfoEdge (Naukri) as SDET. Currently she is a Sr. SDET in the release engineering team at Dream11.
Akriti Upreti, Data Scientist proposes Fair Play @Dream11 by using ML and deep learning to detect anomalous transactions
When more than 3 million users concurrently play on the Dream11 app, finding anomalous transactions is like finding a needle in a haystack. Dream11’s Data Science team however, takes the challenge a step further – find the pattern in these anomalous transactions and ensure fair gameplay for all users.
After completing her Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Pune, Akriti has worked as a Decision Scientist at MuSigma and Strategic Analyst at Loyalty Rewardz before joining the Dream11 Data Science team. Her interests include business problems with large consumer behaviour analysis involving machine learning.
